Are Webgrowth courses SETA accredited?

No, our courses are not SETA accredited. Digital technology changes almost monthly, so we’ve chosen rather to focus on practical skills. The nature of digital marketing requires a standards committee that can adapt quickly. The ongoing development of the Webgrowth Certification standards and practices is a cooperative effort by the industry’s top professional organizations, trainers, educators, and corporate advocates. To remain agile and be internationally competitive, we haven’t aligned with South African ICT standards. In combination with our training material that is updated on a monthly basis and our practical learning, we believe our courses offer something really special to the South African student.

Is this course a good option for school leavers?

Are the videos and exams all made available online?

Yes, all the videos and assessments are online. We also have an online support forum, which has a mobile and desktop app if you need to ask any questions.

Do I walk away with any tangible certificates through your courses?

Yes. Although not accredited by SETA, you do receive a certificate from Webgrowth, which corporates and agencies do recognise. We have relationships with over 200 companies across South Africa. Our internship programme is also supported by digital agencies and medium to large businesses.

Who tutors us in the videos?

Webgrowth has gathered an excellent selection of digital marketing experts to guide you through the course and provide you with the necessary information. Every discipline has a different expert explaining the concepts of digital marketing.

Are we tested at any point during the course?

Yes. Quizzes and assessments appear after the completion of a lesson, you pass the lesson by completing the quiz. You are required to watch all of the videos in the lesson before moving onto the quiz.

Points are also accumulated by students engaging on the Webgrowth support app i.e. asking questions and also offering support to other Webgrowth students.

Can the online course be taken at anytime?

No, we have two intakes during the year. February and July. In 2019 we are aiming to place 300 students in an internship.

Do Webgrowth courses keep up to date with the latest digital marketing trends?

Most certainly, all of our training material is covered by professionals in the digital marketing industry and updated regularly. We’re all about staying ahead of the curve and providing our students with relevant information.

Do I need a good internet connection in order to do the course?

A good quality internet connection is recommended as the videos might run poorly on a slow connection.
